COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Make Our World a Better Place

Habitat for Humanity Day

One day each year, our attorneys and staff come to the office in blue jeans and tattered shirts. We leave the doors locked and set the answering machine to take messages all day and work on a home for people in need. We think this is a great way to help others as well as provide a team-building experience for ourselves. If you haven't tried it yet yourself, you should. If you are interested in learning how you can get involved, click here.

Reif Performing Arts Center

Once a year, we underwrite a performance at the Reif. Past shows sponsored by us include Air Supply, America, and Poco and Firefall. We are proud to be a part of the Reif Center's mission of Stimulating Arts in Northern Minnesota If you would like more information about the Reif and upcoming performances, click here.

GR Area Community Foundation

GRACF is a local community foundation that was created in 1994. Its mission is to provide opportunities for individuals and organizations to invest in their community to improve the quality of life. Our firm was very involved with the formation of GRACF and has had an attorney serving on its board during each year of its existence. GRACF provides tremendous financial support to countless charitable organizations throughout our community. It also provides a means for our clients to keep some of their major charitable gifts working for their community. If you would like more information about GRACF, click here.

Veterans Support Fund

The Veterans Support Fund is an endowment housed with the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation. It was created by this firm in 2007 to provide a source of funds to assist veterans and their families who have served our country in Iraq or any other hostile engagement. Another goal of this fund is to provide a means for members of our community to take a more active role in supporting those who sacrificed so much of their lives in their dedicated effort to protect our country. Whether you believe any war is a just cause or not is irrelevant. What matters is there are a lot of veterans out there who desperately need financial support.

Itasca Orchestra & Strings

Itasca Orchestra Society is a non-profit that provides opportunities in orchestral music for adults and children in Itasca County. The Itasca Symphony Orchestra performs three times a year. Local musicians make up the orchestra. The Itasca Orchestra's strings programs offer lessons in violin, viola, cello and bass for ages 6 to 100. The students perform three concerts a year. Our attorneys have been board members and we have financially supported this valuable non-profit for many years. To find out more about this great organization, click here.

Make a Difference

We are not your ordinary Law Firm. We have no burning desire to become the biggest firm or the most well-known firm or the most powerful firm in the world. What does matter to us is being the firm that truly cares about making a difference in the lives of our clients and our community.
